From spring’s first bloom to winter’s final hush, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons is a beloved masterpiece that still dazzles with color, character, and emotion. Mercury brings it to life with a chamber ensemble and fearless solo violin offering rich texture and intimate insight. 

The performance will feature: three violins, one viola, one cello, one bass and harpsichord. 

Mercury Chamber Orchestra (Anthony Plante, Artistic Director) has grown from a small period-instrument ensemble into a dynamic arts institution. While expanding our offerings beyond early music, our core vision remains unchanged. We believe that music transforms lives, and all our performances and education programs are developed with the unique purpose of making classical music accessible, fun, and relevant to Houston’s diverse communities. 

 Music education at every stage of life is a critical part of Mercury’s mission. Mercury musicians engage with HISD schools through semester-long residencies that include ensemble coaching and private lessons, as well as curriculum-based bilingual touring shows, reaching over 6,000 students annually.

Relaxed and Sensory Inclusive Performances include adjustments like modified lighting in audience spaces, designated quiet and activity areas in the lobby, encouragement to move and enter/exit as needed, sensory supports (like fidgets and ear plugs/muffs), trained volunteers, and more.
