Live at the Founders Club presents unforgettable live music in an intimate club setting with sweeping views of downtown Houston.
I’ve Gotta Be Me celebrates the life, music, and legacy of legendary entertainer Sammy Davis Jr. in a concert honoring more than 100 years of one of the most iconic performers in American entertainment.
Starring Tony Award nominee Sidney DuPont (Paradise Square, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), the evening traces Davis’s extraordinary career through song, storytelling, and signature hits including “Mr. Bojangles,” “The Candy Man,” and more.
With powerful vocals and commanding stage presence, DuPont brings new life to beloved classics in a tribute that is joyful, personal, and full of style. Presented in the Founders Club, I’ve Gotta Be Me offers a fresh look at the music and legacy of a singular American icon.

About the Artist
Sidney DuPont is a Tony Award nominee who originated the role of Washington Henry in Paradise Square on Broadway. He made his Broadway debut in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical in 2015 and later performed with both the First National Tour and Australian production. His additional touring credits include Memphis and A Chorus Line. Beyond the stage, DuPont is also a director, choreographer, cinematographer, and award-winning screenwriter. Reflecting on his work and purpose, he shares, “I am the conclusion of my ancestors’ story and the prologue to my descendants’ wildest dreams.”
