Live at the Founders Club presents unforgettable live music in an intimate club setting with sweeping views of downtown Houston.
The Django Festival Allstars bring the spirit of a Parisian jazz club to the Founders Club with an evening of virtuosic musicianship, swing, and acoustic energy rooted in the tradition of Django Reinhardt.
Led by guitarist Samson Schmitt—son of gypsy jazz legend Dorado Schmitt—the internationally acclaimed ensemble performs with remarkable precision and infectious spontaneity. Guitar, violin, accordion, and bass come together in a sound that’s timeless and alive.
Celebrated by The Wall Street Journal as “the best jazz show in town,” Django Festival Allstars blend old-world swing with modern flair for a performance that is joyful, exhilarating, and made to be experienced up close.

About the Artists
The Django Festival Allstars is a cohesive group of star musicians who’ve taken America by storm, performing at top concert halls and festivals to standing ovations. The ensemble has appeared at SFJazz, Kennedy Center, Birdland for 25 years, Dizzy’s and Rose Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Keystone Korner Baltimore, Hollywood Bowl, Montreal Jazz Festival and Arts Centers Kimmel, Strathmore, Carnegie Hall, and many more.
Guitarist Samson Schmitt is joined by Ludovic Beier on accordion and accordina, Pierre Blanchard on violin, Antonio Licusati on bass, and Frankco Mehrstein on rhythm guitar.
