Gulf Freeway Closures

Continued construction near downtown will cause the total closure of all northbound and southbound mainlanes of I-45 between I-10 and US 59 through out multiple weekends in November and December. Those traveling on I-45 northbound will be detoured to US 59 northbound to I-10 westbound to re-enter I-45 northbound. Those traveling southbound on I-45 will be detoured to I-10 eastbound to US 59 southbound to re-enter I-45 southbound.

FINDING NEVERLAND to play the Hobby Center April 25-30, 2017

The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to announce that individual tickets for FINDING NEVERLAND go on sale to the public on November 18. FINDING NEVERLAND will play April 25-30, 2017, at the Hobby Center at 800 Bagby Street, Houston, TX 77002.

Based on the Academy Award-winning Miramax motion picture by David Magee, and the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan by Allan Knee, Finding Neverland follows the relationship between playwright J.M. The KING AND I Comes to the Hobby Center March 14 -19

Ambassador Theatre Group and NETworks Presentations LLC announce that Laura Michelle Kelly (Anna Leonowens) and Jose Llana (King of Siam) will lead the national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I that will play Houston's Hobby Center for the Performing Arts March 14-19, 2017. In the tour, Joan Almedilla will play Lady Thiang with Brian Rivera as Kralahome, Manna Nichols as Tuptim, Kavin Panmeechao as Lun Tha, Anthony Chan as Prince Chulalongkorn, Graham Montgomery as Louis Leonowens and Baylen Thomas as Captain Orton/Sir Edward Ramsey.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Comes to the Hobby Center January 24 -29

The National Theatre production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME is the Tony Award-winning new play by Simon Stephens, adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel. Directed by Tony winner Marianne Elliott, the critically acclaimed production will come to Houston as part of a North American Tour.

THE BOOK OF MORMON Returns to the Hobby Center January 3 -15

Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON returns to Houston for a limited engagement January 3-15, 2017, at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. The national tour of the Broadway musical HAMILTON will play in Houston as part of the 2017-2018 Broadway at the Hobby Center season, it was announced today by producer Jeffrey Seller and Broadway at the Hobby Center in Houston, TX.

Allen Parkway On-going Renovation/Construction

The City of Houston has begun an extensive renovation project on Allen Parkway estimated to be completed by May of 2016. During this project traffic lanes may be limited or access to certain streets may be limited. If traveling to the Hobby Center via Allen Parkway, please give yourself enough time to arrive on time for your performance.
