The Hobby Center Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to expand Houston's reputation as a world-class cultural center by providing a premier performing arts facility, fostering accessibility to the performing arts and promoting arts education, with an emphasis on musical theater.
For information regarding the Hobby Center Foundation's IRS Form 990, please visit www.guidestar.org.
The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is managed and operated by the Hobby Center Foundation, formerly known as the Houston Music Hall Foundation. The Foundation is organized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Most people are unaware that this fabulous venue was built entirely from private funds donated by the community of Houston. The venue operates independently of any municipal operating subsidy.
The Hobby Center Foundation is able to bring first-class entertainment and cultural enjoyment to Houstonians because of the ongoing generosity of many individuals, corporations and foundations.
Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift. Please check with your company to see if a matching gift program is available.
