SUPPORT EDUCATION AND
OUTREACH
 With 82% of
Houston Independent School District’s (HISD) students qualifying for free
or reduced lunch and the state of Texas
ranking near the bottom of
the nation for investment in the arts, Houston - and specifically HISD - faces
a crisis that will shape our community far into the future. For that reason,
the Hobby Center and its partnering organizations are committed to addressing
this considerable problem and will maximize resources to positively
impact the lives of thousands of HISD and
area schoolchildren.
The need is great. Support for the
Hobby Center’s Education and Outreach programs comes directly from
caring community members, corporations and foundations. To help us reach

Interested in
volunteering? Education and
Outreach volunteer opportunities include program assistance,
event planning and execution, administrative support and materials
distribution. If you'd like to lend us a helping hand,
