HALL
 Featuring the
same backstage amenities as Sarofim Hall (except on a smaller scale),
the 500-seat, two-level Zilkha Hall serves up excellent natural acoustics
amid a warm contemporary environment enlivened by rich, walnut
wood accents. Originally conceived as a black box theatre, the design of
the hall evolved into that of a proscenium theatre with full orchestra pit
as its mission clarified.
Zilkha Hall is home to Uniquely Houston®, one of the most innovative
programs of its kind in the world. This community-based program features
the area’s rich-in-talent emerging, nonprofit performing arts
organizations providing them a state-of-the art home. Mission
accomplished!
