Hope Stone Dance performs "change is inevitable" and "you see it from outside."

"change is inevitable" is a funny, joyous and deeply profound dance work. The dancers take the stage to the yodeling P Girls of the Golden West, with pennies clicking in their hands and pockets, and end with breathtaking, big-hearted movement to the music of Philip Glass and a cascade of change. From the moment we wake, we begin the inevitable changes of our day and our lives. From the Houston Press: "change is inevitable suggests a taste of heaven."

"you see it from outside" is an ensemble work of 6 Hope Stone dancers and a puppet. Though the puppet is different, the dancers learn to move with it and accept and support him. Under the advisement of Houston puppeteer Kevin Taylor, the dancers and the puppet become one, understanding we are all the same on the inside.
